The Science Center[]
General information[]
In the Science Center you can enhance or fuse your equipment, synthesize it's stats, or even refine ores and stones.
In this process, there are also a few items available that can help you out. A Luck card can increase the success rate, a Safe card prevents your equipment from downgrading and Fusing reagent will keep the stats of the highest item. Even being member of a Club has great influence on this process.
How this all works, will be explained in the corresponding topics.
The science center will be available at level 2.
Enhance equipment[]
Enhancing equipment is very usefull, and even necessary at higher levels. You can increase equipment levels multiple times. Every piece of equipment, has a set amount of points that will increase on every stat per upgraded level. The higher the quality of the equipment, the more the stats will increase.
As you can see, for this piece of equipment and this quality, every level increased would add 20 speed, 11 stamina, 10 agility and 7 spurt.
Just like the horses, the quality is color coded:
- White = Normal
- Green = Excellent
- Blue = Rare
- Purple = Incredible
- Gold = Legendary
To enhance your equipment, you need ore. There are several ways of obtaining ore. The best way, is to use the mine. If you use higher level ore, the success rate will increase. The highest level of ore you can use, is level 5. Yes I know, you can increase your equipment beyond level 5, but this means that it is done with a lower success rate.
To increase my equipment to level 7 I used:
Club enhancement research level 2
My total success rate was at 77%.
As you can see, there are 3 available spots for ore. You will find that for the first few levels, IF the right ores are used, you will only need 2 to enhance. But since level 5 ore is the maximum, if you want to enhance equipment beyond level 5, you definately will need to use 3.
To increase your success rate, you can use more ores, higher level ores, a "luck card" or become member of a club who have researched the Enhancement technology.
If your basic success is 50%, you have a Luck card which gives 15% and your club has researched level 2, which would give 30%, it does NOT mean your total success will be 95%. The Luck card adds 15%, but the club enhancement study will only add 30% of your basic luck rate. So it will be 50% + 30% of 50% (15%) + 15% of your Luck card which adds up to a total of 80%.
Then you see the Safe card slot. If you fail enhancements, it will not have any effect on the equipment for the first 5 levels. If you fail to upgrade after level 5, your equipment will downgrade 1 level. To prevent that from happening, you can use a Safe card. This card does not have any effect on the success rate.
Synthesize equipment[]
The only thing you are able to synthesize, is the harnesses. You can not synthesize jockey equipment. To synthesize equipment, you need to have stones. There are 4 types of stones:
Every stat can be individually upgraded. Just like with enhancement, the higher the level of your stones, the higher your stats will be. Though there is a difference. With synthesizing, the success rate will decrease per level. So instead of using 2 or 3 ores for enhancing, you are only able to use 1 stone for synthesizing, losing success rate. Every level of stone, will increase the corresponding stat with 10. So level 1 will increase by 10, level 2 by 20 and so on.
As you can see, there is only 1 slot available for stones.
On top of that, you can NOT use lower level stones than the equipments synthesize level. So if you have upgraded stamina to level 2, you are not able to use a level 1 stamina stone any more, if you want to upgrade it again, you'll need to use a level 3 stone.
Just like with enhancement, your success rate can be increased by the use of a Luck card, or if you are a member of a club who have researched the synthesis study . The calculations are still the same.
If you fail, it will NOT have any effect on your stats, so the use of a Safe card is not needed.
Refine minerals[]
The purpose of refinement is to refine low-level stones and ores into stronger items. When you have many useless low-level stones or ores, you may refine them and change them into high-level Gems. This of course is needed to increase the level of your equipment. A high-level Gem cannot be refined (level 5).
For refining, you will need 4 ores or stones of the same level and some gold. The amount of gold needed to refine, depends on the level of the gems. The price of refining is as follows:
- Level 1 -> level 2 = 1000 gold
- Level 2 -> level 3 = 2000 gold
- Level 3 -> level 4 = 5000 gold
- Level 4 -> level 5 = 10000 gold
The success rate is always at 100%, so you can not fail.
Fusing equipment[]
The purpose of fusing is to increase the quality of equipment. The higher the quality, the higher the amount of points that will be added when enhancing. To fuse, you will need 4 of the same pieces of equipment, they also must be of the same quality. So you can not use 1 white, 1 green, 1 blue, and 1 purple. You will need to have 4 whites to create 1 green, 4 greens to create 1 blue and so on.
There is a possibility of losing all your equipment if the fusing fails. Although the success rate is not visible. You will also need to use gold for fusing equipment, the amount depends on the quality.
If you fuse, you will also lose the enhancement levels. If you are proud of the level, there is an item that can prevent your equipment from downgrading, Fusing Reagent which can be bought in the Shop . The highest level of the 4 items will be kept.
